Mary Simpson is originally from the Matanuska-Susitna Valley, Alaska, and received her MFA in Visual Arts from Columbia University in 2009. Her work has shown at Seattle Art Museum, Boise Art Museum, Elizabeth Dee gallery in New York, and Art Basel Miami among other venues. Simpson attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2007.
